The 1 I have is original... Where? Seems you forgot to paste the error message. Have you tested your memory and hard drive? Just because hardware is new doesn't necessarily mean it's not defective. The fact that you keep having the same issues is yet another indication that there's a problem with your new hardware.

Yet another 9.0.14 install problem
I've had a blue screen of death and had to re-install XP. I'm the only user, but I can't access my files from the previous install. I checked the posts and they say take ownership, but the home version doesn't have this option. I've also tried to boot from the CD to repair it, but I cannot cd into the directory.
